Cross-country skiing club SK SKOL Brno is the initiator and principal coordinator of the international project "Effective training and psychological approach to young cross-country skiers". The main aim of the project is to improve the working with the youth, to make cross-country skiing more attractive for children, to allow equal access to this sport for all children and to expand the membership of clubs dedicated to working with children. The project is funded by European program Erasmus+.
The base of the project is the exchange of experiences during working with young cross-country skiers on the clubs level and in the individual relationship too. The aim of the project is improving all aspects of systematic work with young cross-country skiers. This is sharing of experiences about trainings methods on the snow and on the ground too, clubs support, equipment and the psychological side of performance and parens support of children and their communication. All four meetings will take place within the project; Nove Mesto na Morave in Czech, Mürzzuschlag in Austria, Dresden in Germany and Skalka pri Kremnici in Slovakia. The output of the project will be thematic manuals on the topics discussed, which will be published on the project website www.ski-projekt.eu and available to other ski clubs in the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany and Slovakia.
